My name is Juma

I am 9 years old now. when I was born in a small town of Kampala, there was nothing in my village, no access to the water, even a drop of water… There was no school, no teacher.. no electricity, no place for shopping. There were children but no dad and mom of them, almost died because of illness.

That is why, I call my village villiage of nothing…

If someone told me that when I am unborn offspring there is nothing outside, no school, no water, no food, no electricity, no light I may choose not to come outside.

But what I understood now in this year all changed in my mind. A person came to me his name Khalil, there was a bag in his hand, full of meat. He smiled into my face and said that this is gift to you from the Muslims, Zakat Foundation. I said to myself this is the first time that a person who I don’t know never and ever in my whole life giving me a something. Khalid told me he will come again to see me and next time he will bring to more things. I think my village’s name will be changing from nothing to the something.
